Nicole Paterno
Nicole Paterno handles the marketing and business development for Narra Venture Capital. She has almost a decade’s worth of experience as a development manager, working with NGOs in the fields of education, environment, transparency & accountability, and corporate social responsibility. Her non-profit work dealt mostly with fund raising, research (writing and analysis), and project management. She has worked with the Makati Business Club, Ateneo de Manila University, the League of Corporate Foundations, Pera at Pulitika (PAP), and Synergeia Foundation. Coupled with innate networking abilities and an arsenal of social capital, she quickly developed a knack for matching people with needs to those with resources and began honing her marketing skills as a fund raiser. As campaign coordinator for the Ateneo de Manila University’s Annual Fund, her team was able to raise half of the targeted amount of PhP10 million in a year’s time to address tuition assistance for 50 students across the Ateneo board from more than 5,000 donors. Her stint at Synergeia Foundation further bolstered her communication strengths, developing key skills such as stakeholder mapping, social mobilization and facilitating dialogues with people at the grass roots level up to the levels of local chief executives in local government units (LGUs). Nicole has a degree in AB European Studies – International Relations, with a minor in German Studies from the Ateneo de Manila University. She is currently working on her thesis under the Ateneo School of Government’s Masters in Public Management program. She also works with Paco Sandejas as a mainstay in the Brain Gain Network. |
